RHODES Airport Assistance (RHO)

Rhodes International Airport, also known as Diagoras, is located on the western coast of Rhodes Island, which is a short 14 km from Rhodes City and serves as the main point of access via air to the island. As the primary airport for the island, it is also the point to which most European cities are connected, especially during summer when we see the heaviest tourist traffic. The airport has one main terminal, which in turn has separate halls for arrivals, departures, Schengen and non-Schengen flights, which makes it easier to navigate than other large Greek airports.

Despite at times being very busy in the summer, the terminal as a whole is very easy to get your head around, and we have recently seen in field renovations which in turn have brought better comfort, updated seating areas and very efficient passenger flow. As a traveller, you will see a mix of traditional Greek cafes, duty-free shops, lounges, travel info and views of the sea outside the terminal. No matter if you are there for Rhodes’ beaches or just passing through, the airport is a small but very traveller-oriented experience.
